Service Description
Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete mental, emotional, and physical relaxation. It is often translated as "Yogic Sleep" however it is actually deep relaxation with inner awareness. In this class, we will begin with a brief yoga asana practice to prepare the body to lie comfortably on our backs for 45-60 minutes. While in savasana you will be guided through the practice of Yoga Nidra. Class is suitable for all-levels of practitioners. However, Yoga Nidra is not suitable for those with severe mental illness or for those processing recent trauma. You are encouraged to bring items that will aid in your comfort for lying down for an extended period. Blankets, a bolster, a pillow, and an eye pillow or scarf is recommended.
